About Mackenzie Moulton

Mackenzie Moulton MACKENZIE MOULTON ARTIST

Mackenzie Moulton, born 21st June 1947 in Exeter, Devon, England. The first son of an English father and Scottish Mother and an Irish Grandfather. A result of which he has deep Celtic origin. His talent recognised at an early age and a year before leaving school at 15, was invited to attend Exeter Art College at weekends to study Sculpture. Over the past 50 years he has concentrated on painting as opposed to sculpture and has Exhibited in London, Kent, Devon, Newcastle, Durham and Scotland in the UK and New York, El Paso, Dallas and Connecticut in the USA. and in Spain. Some of his paintings are on permanent display in the Thames Police Association Museum, News International and Custom House in London and the Board room of Courage's Brewery in Reading. Many well known public figures have purchased Mackenzie's paintings. Mackenzie has been a successful Artist for 60 years, living and working in London, UK. After that he moved to Javea in Spain, where he taught Art and had several successful Exhibitions, and many commissions over the 9 years he lived there. Now he has returned to his birthplace, Exeter in Devon, but living in Brixham, to continue promoting his own style of painting in the UK. Mackenzie has the ability to paint any subject and welcomes any commission. Shortly after his return to the UK he was commissioned to paint Lady Cynthia Stevens who replaced the late Queen Mother as patron of the famous Thames Police Association Museum, in London. The portrait now hangs on permanent display in the museum. In January 2011 Mackenzie was contacted by The Public Catalogue Foundation and gave his permission for 4 paintings in the Thames Police Association Museum, London, to be included in their catalogue The paintings are, a portrait of Lady Cynthia Stevens, The Royal Salute at Greenwich and Sailing Barges passing Blackwall Thames Police Station and a self portrait of a standby police diver below London's Tower Bridge.. Mackenzie can be contacted on +44 7777640751 by voice or text. In 2014 Mackenzie had a stroke and lost the sight in his left eye, because of this he has now given up painting, hence his original paintings have become far more collectable and are slowly being bought up. He now concentrates on his violin playing with his Irish band, 'The O'Marleys and they have recently released an album CD called 'Trip to Exeter' available on Amazon, i tunes and CD Baby. well worth a listen.
