MACKENZIE MOULTON ARTIST Mackenzie Moulton, born 21st June 1947 in Exeter, Devon, England. The first son of an English father and Scottish Mother and an Irish Grandfather. A result of which he has a deep Celtic origin. His talent recognised at an early age and a year before leaving school at 15, was invited to attend Exeter Art College at weekends to study Sculpture. I looked for a picture that would express the awesome power of the sea and the comparative helplessness of a small sailing ship. My search is over. There is so much movement in Mac's picture in the threatening sky and sea and the vessel battling against the elements. When I look at it, I can experience the ship's struggle. Just glad I am not on board!
