Artist's Description
I have painted this scene many times, a bit like Monet I suppose, but always at different times of the year with different skies, here it is early evening, and the sky is turning Red. At least I give you a choice of the same scene. I like the fact Wapping is steeped in History, especially the Town of Ramsgate pub
The first pub on the site probably originated during the Wars of the Roses in the 1460s and was called The Hostel. During more peaceful times in 1533 it became known as The Red Cow, a reference to the bar maid working at the time.

About Mackenzie Moulton
MACKENZIE MOULTON ARTIST Mackenzie Moulton, born 21st June 1947 in Exeter, Devon, England. The first son of an English father and Scottish Mother and an Irish Grandfather. A result of which he has a deep Celtic origin. His talent recognised at an early age and a year before leaving school at 15, was invited to attend Exeter Art College at weekends to study Sculpture. Over the past 65 years he has concentrated on painting as opposed to sculpture and has Exhibited in London, Kent, Devon, Newcastle, Durham and Scotland in the UK and New York, El Paso, Dallas and Connecticut in the USA. and in Spain.
