Artist's Description
A summers day, looking at St Johns Church Wapping from Scandrett Street, and the Old Turks Head Pub, London.
Captain Bligh, of the famous mutiny on the Bounty lived in Wapping and was married in this church, most of his children were christened here to. Wapping is steeped in history and I have captured this in my paintings in and around Wapping. This was painted on a 20 by 16 inch canvas in oils.
About Mackenzie Moulton
MACKENZIE MOULTON ARTIST Mackenzie Moulton, born 21st June 1947 in Exeter, Devon, England. The first son of an English father and Scottish Mother and an Irish Grandfather. A result of which he has a deep Celtic origin. His talent recognised at an early age and a year before leaving school at 15, was invited to attend Exeter Art College at weekends to study Sculpture. Over the past 65 years he has concentrated on painting as opposed to sculpture and has Exhibited in London, Kent, Devon, Newcastle, Durham and Scotland in the UK and New York, El Paso, Dallas and Connecticut in the USA. and in Spain.
