As the river Thames got cleaner there were more fish and with that more bird life. I started to see cormorants sitting on barges and buoys in the river, especially near Tower Bridge and painted this picture. The original was an octagonal canvas stuck to board to fit into an octagonal frame 8 by 10 inches.
